Twyford Wharf Narrowboats is an excellent company. Colin and Louise are helpful and friendly. Booking a holiday with them is very straightforward. Our family has been on two week-long trip on their two boats, which are perfect for a family of up to 6, and the comfiest boats out of the 8 I’ve hired. They are located about halfway along the South Oxford canal, so they are in a great spot to either travel south to Oxford and back, or north to Braunston and back over the course of a week. Which is what we’ve done now. Both trips were great: lots to see, a beautiful, picturesque canal and a decent number of locks. Thank you, Colin and Louise for two lovely weeks – Sarah, Jules, Isabelle, Billy and Hen

Twyford Wharf narrow boat company is EXCELLENT. I am out of the UK and a the last minute discovered a booking error. When I contacted Colin there, he was friendly, understanding, patient, and proposed solution options. He went “above and beyond” in making a solution happen. You could not find a better company to deal with and their boats are everything anyone could want. Thank you Colin – Stuart from Seattle.

Your response “ Response from the owner an hour ago

It is a great pity that you have never visited TWYFORD Wharf Narrow Boats nor rented a boat from us. It is people like you who post a vindictive revue show U.K. ld brr e’d banned from

Ever making any re views and all your reviews removed from Google as they are likely all untrue. Guess that is why you withhold you put details.”

First off, this is diabolical use of the English language, to the point it isn’t written in English!

Secondly, yes I do know your business and have had my boat hit by your holiday makers due to lack of training.

Thirdly, after talking with your staff, I’m extremely clear on how you conduct yourselves, as this reply that you gave verifies. Anyway, not going to bandy words with you anymore, I’ve got my degree to get on with!

Don’t discriminate, and reviews like mine won’t be left!!!!

We had a wonderful time on twyford boats. Colin was great and made sure we understood how everything worked before leaving us at the first lock. The whole trip was perfect and very comfortable.

We had such a fun day. Time flew! Colin took us through the first lock, gave us some top tips and we were off! It was our first time on the canal and we loved it. Stopped off for a fabulous lunch at the Great Western Arms, then returned. I would highly recommend Twyford Wharf Narrow Boats. Friendly and competent. A highlight of the summer, very calm and relaxing.
