Staff really helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was quiet being just after the new year but was still very welcoming and homely. This was our second time here and we will definitely be back again. Special mention to Cameron and Chloe who looked after us so well, thanks to both of you.

Spent two nights at Bryn Howel this month for a family wedding. The Hotel has been refurbished with some bedrooms still to be updated but we really loved our bedroom. Wonderful location beside the canal with fabulous walks and gardens to explore. Wedding ceremony was in the conservatory, pretty, intimate room suited the occasion very well. Wedding meal held in a beautiful room with stunning views. Food delicious. We loved it. Bryn Howel has many reception rooms and quirky spaces as well as the outside space for guests to gather and chat whilst waiting for the Bridal party. No shortage of space. What REALLY made our stay memorable were the staff. Never before have I encountered such hard working staff who seemed to be available 24hrs a day. No request was a problem, from providing fans for the rooms to cutting wedding cake. We highly commend them.

Had a great weekend in this very welcoming hotel. Its location is excellent for exploring the many sites of interest the area has to offer including trips on the steam railway and canal barges. The Hotel staff are extremely helpful and accommodating to individual requests. The food is faultless for both breakfast and evening meals. The rooms are spacious and very clean although a little tired, with lovely views over rolling countryside, mountains and the canal. Contained within well kept gardens. Lots of parking space and easy to find from the main road.

Restaurant experience. The food was very nice however the waiting staff are shocking. The restaurant was very quiet, but we weren’t greeted. When we asked if something on the menu contained dairy, the waiter said he didn’t know, then after a pause, asked if we wanted him to check – well durrrrrr, of course we do! We only had a main as there was we weren’t asked if we wanted dessert. The plates were only cleared when we put on our coats despite sitting there for around 30mins. The views are good and the hotel clean, but the service was dire.
