Absolutely gorgeous medieval house and a ruined castle. Pretty gardens as well. House is well preserved and has been restored. Lots to explore, and you can do an audio tour. A short walk from the house is the castle ruins, plus a few goats when we visited. The house is built around a courtyard of which one side has an upstairs covered timber walkway. Well worth visiting.

Small nice castle ruins with museum explaining the history of the place. Nice and helpful people running the place and always up for a chat.

Lots of small little activities for children.

We were lucky to come on the day when they had actors dressed in the costumes presenting and talking about the armour and weapons used back in the day.

Lovely house and castle. Worth visiting

It is a really small ruined castle , not much to see , to be honest it os a bit pricey , but if you are an English Heritage member you get a free access to, which is not too bad for a relaxing , short visit , without high expectations.

Lovely old castle ruins, beautiful surroundings.

Cafe on site was closed the day we went.

Pay for entry into the castle
