We rented Hector for a week. Ru is hood fun and he’s a biker so obviously a good lad! The boart was great. It is a little small insude truth be told but we wanted to start boating small for ease. The small size does have advantages however when manoeuvring and mooring. We had a great time cruising the North Oxford, Coventry and Ashby canals. Thanks Hector, Ru and Jane!

We have just returned from a week on the Tia Dalma and I can hand on heart say we had one of the most amazing holidays despite it being one of the wettest weeks ever!

We arrived at Armada to collect the boat and met Jane & Rue who talked us through everything so we felt good to go on our voyage, they are very knowledgeable and super helpful.

The boat is stunning and so well equipped there is nothing we could say was missing, the shower was always lovely and hot and the kitchen perfect & well equipped, we cooked a good few meals and of course a necessary fry up for the Captain and his first mate before we set off every day on our adventures.

We loved exploring different villages and towns along the way and a tip is make sure you buy the guide book for your route from Armada’s office before you leave as this will be your bible on the trip!

We chugged along for about 4-5 hours a day with our beloved Beagle who enjoyed the adventure too as lots of lovely canal walks and most pubs we came across were hound friendly.

A few recommendations if you do the Snarestone route are Brinklow: which has a great pub called The Raven Inn, good fish n chip shop and The Bulls Head for dinner, really recommend the Lamb Shank and ribs. Then we stocked up at The Tesco in Bedworth and there’s a brilliant butchers just to the right of Tescos.

The Globe pub in Snarestone: excellent steaks and a great Rioja house wine.

So to sum up our trip, we had a wonderful holiday onboard Tia Dalma even with 6 days of rain!

Absalutlolutely amazing from the off . Meeting the owners on pick up of the narrow boat and spending time showing us how to steer it They then showed us how to moor up safely a very patient teacher The boat we hired was emaculatly clean throughout . The holiday was a great way to unwind amoung the natural beauty of the country side along the beautiful canal’s & water ways through locks under bridges, through swing gates then stopping when and where we want to choosing some peaceful and tranquil areas to moor up.

We also meet some very friendly and interesting people with story’s to tell and tips about mooring and what to do if stuck when canaling At night all i can say is what a perfect nights sleep perfectly confotable bed so so quiet at night then waking to the beautifully sounds of the birds in the morning and the smell of crisp fresh air.

I would recommend using this company Amada boat hire well worth the money as there boat we was a lovley hired boat

I would give it more than 5 stars on every level.

We had a fantastic time

We recently hired Tia Dalma for a week, and having hired from other companies previously, I must say that Tia is a stunning boat. The interior is bright, modern and well laid out, everything works well, while the outside is brightly painted in traditional style. I was pleasantly surprised at the many boaters we met who admire Armada’s boats and know them to be of excellent quality. Quite a reputation. It’s no surprise that Rue won’t let you hire it unless you have previous experience!

The only down side to our holiday was having to return it at the end of a fantastic week.

We had a wonderful week on board the luxurious Tia Dalma, cruising the Oxford, Coventry and Ashby canals. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made everything so easy for us.

Highly recommended.
