We are finally home from our trip on the beautiful Marine Cruises narrow boat ‘Kimberley’ in May.  We were delighted with everything to do with our canal holiday. The customer service from Hayley, David and the team before, during and after the trip; the beautiful boat, authentic, delightful, comfy and practical; the information provided for a smooth trip, from pubs to eat at, a map to follow our way and hints and tips. Such an exceptional holiday on the canals of England and Wales. Highly recommend.

Thank you to all at Marine Cruises! A really helpful team, a great boat and a wonderful experience. We had to change our plans mid holiday owing to difficult circumstances and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They work seamlessly with the waterways team and provided everything we needed for a lovely holiday.

My family and I took Suzanne out from Swanley Bridge Marina for 3 nights and had the best time! There was 7 of us and 2 dogs in total and we had more than enough space. The boat is beautiful with loads of room, two toilets, a shower, loads of storage, 3 sleeping areas, a kitchen, a dining areas which turns into another sleeping area on a night if required. The boat itself was spotless, clean and very modern. We loved it!! We took the Llangollen canal to Wrenbury where we stayed at the Dusty Miller pub for an evening meal in the first night. The next morning we set sail to Gridley Brooke and up to Whitchurch where we turned around so we were pointing in the right direction to head back the next morning. We went to another lovely pub called The Horse and Jokey. The was lots of locks and bridges, including a staircase canal lock which was great fun for all. We had the best time and are looking to book Falkirk next year. Thank you Hayley and the Marine Cruises team for the tutorial also. We were a little apprehensive with it being out first time on a canal boat but you were great and we got the swing of it straight away. Thank you!

Our third trip with Marine Cruises. This time, Middlewich branch, Trent & Mersey and northern Shropshire Union. Love these trips and service from the staff!

Enjoyable Trip

We have just returned from a week spent on a Marine Cruises’ Debbie class boat cruising the Llangollen canal from their base at Swanley.

On the first day we arrived at the marina to a friendly greeting from the team and proceeded to place our things on board. The boat was well equipped and very clean – even the engine compartment was spotless. After getting settled we were conducted on a training trip by Stewart and Gareth whose expert and good humoured tuition gave us every confidence that, even though we had no previous experience, we would be able to make sure that no disasters would befall us!

There was a slight issue with the on-board wifi connection but this was resolved efficiently once we contacted the office.

All in all a really enjoyable trip on a high quality boat from an enthusiastic and highly professional operator. Highly recommended.
