Stunning location with a gorgeous view of the river and bridges. Good location for further adventures and some lovely walks nearby. The local village is accessible easily via a flat 30 minute walk along the canal (or road way). Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is very basic (no hot food) but sufficient, although does not start until 8am.

We popped in for a bit of lunch on our way back from a walk down the canal. Beautiful spot with great views of the river and the chain bridge. The service was friendly and the food good!

Would definitely go back and try an evening meal.

Stopped in on a boiling hot day for a pint after a walk to the Horseshoe Falls. Really quick service and a nice choice of ales and beers. No problem getting a table overlooking the river, perfect to drink your pint with steam trains passing further up the hill.

Wonderful place to stop for a cuppa and a scone, with breathtaking views of the river and brave kayakers and rafters. The bridge itself is sturdy and again, a great spot for appreciating the river and surroundings.

Staff were helpful and attentive, prices reasonable. Highly recommended.

Lovely location with fantastic views. Plentiful unlimited continental breakfast which was replenished. There was a number of very well informed staff who worked very hard particularly in evenings. I stayed for three nights and it would have been good to have a few more options for dinner with some rota I asked for a ground floor room which was clean and spacious with a look out on the canal. I had some difficulties with the TV and WiFi which I resolved. There was a smell of damp but it did not cause me a problem.
