We just stopped in for a cold drink on the walk back from the plant nursery to our boat. Pleasant folks and a nice enough place. Nothing vegan to speak of on the menu, and it’s decorated in hunter-chic with pictures of dead quail and other “game” animals, shotguns and shotgun shells, etc. so if you’re hungry and vegan or vegetarian, probably keep looking. 😐

Great pub for a stop off if you are travelling on the canal. Super close to Greensforge lock. Best to moor below the bridge/lock as there is only space for one medium sized boat above the lock, and it’s squeezed between the boater’s facilities and the long term moorings. The pub is well worth a visit for a drink or two and great value for money

The Navigation Inn was a wonderful experience. This Inn situated near to the canal is idealic with ramblers and walkers along its country roads and canal tow paths. It’s a good place to rest stop and has ample parking opposite the Inn. Food and drink was really nice and price too. I could observe others eating that food was to their liking. Our host and front of bar server Anna was wonderful giving good service and very pleasant too. Staff who prepped and cooked were awesome too. I’d recommend the pub even though it’s off the beaten track is well worth a look in and I certainly would go back. Thank you Anna and staff for your time and effort to making a good experience and a wonderful Inn. I will even add cleanliness good including WC.
