Credit to the food! Quality of the food served was great! The service was just so outrageously bad it ruined the whole experience. We had a booking for 8pm, took almost 40 mins to get a food order in. Our table menu turned out to be outdated, so a lot of confusion arose from the server denying the request for the advertised 2 for £12 “cocktail of the week” offer. That wasn’t a big deal in itself, but food came and can’t fault the kitchen one bit! Server never returned to ask if we needed anything or to take another drinks order. I left the table to find a server and asked for ketchup, which never arrived.
Food came out in a quick and reasonable time frame, but whole dining experience took over an hour and half somehow for one round of drinks and a sharing platter.
It should have been great, but service seemed comically inexperienced and unprofessional.

Very welcoming and efficient young staff. We had steak and lamb and was cooked perfectly and delicious. The tables are upstairs but it was just too hot for us, so they kindly gave a table outside and then by the window inside as light rain. All easy and without fuss.

Absolutely superb hospitality at Chapel St Bar & Kitchen!
Delicious food and drinks, reasonably priced for the quality and all round experience.
The staff were extremely attentive, they went above and beyond to ensure, not only our party but all diners were very well looked after. Exceptional service!
A very popular restaurant for locals and visitors to the area, and especially on a bank holiday too!
Beautiful decor, atmosphere and a perfect evening, couldn’t ask for more!

Had been wanting to go for months! Bit the bullet and went in for a Sunday roast.
The food was beautiful, service was brilliant. Only gave 4 stars as there wasn’t many people in, but this would be a firm 5 stars with the hustle and bustle of people drinking and eating in there.
Can’t wait to return.
We had a starter, main and 2 drinks each. Brilliant value for money.
