Guide To Electric Barge

We hired the Electric Barge for our wedding reception and were absolutely blown away by how helpful and thoughtful the team was throughout the entire process. From our very first enquiry, through to planning catering with specific dietary needs, and on the big day itself, we felt completely supported. Their patience, friendliness, and generosity turned what could have been a stressful experience into something easy and joyful.

With 58 guests on board, the barge felt spacious, giving everyone room to mingle and dance, and enough seating for those who needed it. The route itself was beautiful, passing through wonderful scenery and landmarks. On arrival, guests were welcomed with beautifully presented sharing platters generously portioned and high quality produce. Halfway through, fish and chips were delivered on board at Camden; again, portions were great, everything arrived seamlessly, and it was all served piping hot.

The bar was very well stocked, and every member of staff went out of their way to make the day feel special. We opted for the premium drinks package, which gave guests unlimited cocktails, spirits, prosecco, and more. Even with that, and the hire fee, the total was still less than half of what some local pubs had quoted us. Knowing that our booking also supported the charitable efforts for the Floating Classroom made it even more meaningful.

If you’re looking for a unique, welcoming, and brilliantly run space for a party or event, we couldn’t recommend the Electric Barge more highly!

We have held our team summer party on the Electric Barge for the past two years! We can’t recommend enough – the staff are super friendly and always make an effort to cater to our requests, the journey through the canal to Camden is v scenic & the canapés & paella from Marlon‘s Kitchen is always a huge hit! We’ve been fortunate to have sunny evenings each year but there is also loads of space inside the boat in case of rain!

From Tyler helping us with all the plans and getting ready to the amazing staff on the boat – its a great size and fully stocked for a great party! Even better that it is for a great cause with the floating classroom! Would Highly recommend!
