Stopped on our way back through from Wem, curious to support a Community Pub. Lovely friendly young lady greeted us on arrival and nothing was too much bother throughout our visit. Dog friendly other than the restaurant area. Great bit of tucker, cooked fresh to order and Aspalls on draught… What more could a girl want!

Definitely worth a visit if you’re out this way

Good meal couldn’t fault it to be fair, although felt uncomfortable as it seemed they wanted to shut up and obviously go home and 10 percent service charge on bill a bit steep , I personally prefer to tip as I feel not as it is just added on , wasn’t a bad experience but it should be left at your discretion , I know it is written on the menu , we would have tipped , but felt slightly that we should finish the evening and go .

We’d read the reviews that said it was good and now we’ve been to try it. Absolutely fantastic. Steak was perfectly cooked and so tender. Staff were great and a great atmosphere. We’ll be back again
