Established in 2004, it is housed in the last remaining lock-keeper’s cottage built in 1796, marking a significant point where the waterway transitions from a river to a canal. This unique setting offers both indoor and outdoor seating, providing picturesque views of the meadows and the Grand Union Canal.

Me and my partner came here yesterday as an early birthday treat. The staff were lovely and welcoming ☺️ The cafe was so cute and cosy and I loved seeing all of the quirky teapots around.
We were absolutely stuffed with sandwiches and a yummy variety of cakes. The lovely staff member was very kind and accommodating and we had a genuinely lovely time.
We will definitely be coming back soon. Thank you for having us x

Very cute and cozy tearoom! Had Deluxe afternoon tea, everything in it was delicious! Especially loved the scone! Staff were nice and helpful.
They hsve only few places inside, more in the garden. Picturesque view from the windows to the meadow where were horses grazing. Enjoyed my visit very much!

Went down for a look because I was working in the area, besides the Great Central Way and the Aylestone Packhorse Bridge there isn’t much to chose between what was the best about being here…
Then there was Kings Lock Bridge 104, Lock 38 and the Kings Lock Tearooms …
I only had time for a Latte, which was absolutely perfect.
I loved the staff, immediately took my order, the setting is perfect, dripping with history and all in a setting fit for… what for it…

I visited Kings Lock Tea Rooms for the first time today and was extremely disappointed. I paid £3.95 for a chocolate milkshake but there was no chocolate flavour. When I asked for an extra pump of chocolate I was told that they’d run out of chocolate. So instead of advising me before I bought the drink that they’d run out of chocolate, I paid full price for a tasteless milkshake. When I asked to exchange it for another flavour I was told I’d have to pay again for another one! What shocking customer service 😡 I certainly won’t be back & wouldn’t advise anyone else when there’s the fabulous Jenno’s a bit further along the tow path
