Visitors can enjoy a diverse menu featuring classic British pub fare and vegetarian-friendly options, available in the welcoming interior or on the outdoor seating area with delightful views of the canal. The inn also holds a unique geographical distinction, being the first establishment within the Pontcysyllte World Heritage Site for travellers crossing from England into Wales. This makes it a popular stop for narrowboat enthusiasts, who can moor their vessels nearby for up to 48 hours.
It offers a perfect blend of traditional hospitality, quality food at reasonable prices, and the serene ambience of canal-side dining, ensuring that both locals and travellers return time and again.

Food reasonably priced,and tasty.
Good attentive service.
Drinks very reasonable, and the Ale was nice. All good.
Service excellent, very nice gentleman serving drinks and taking food orders. Food was delicious, atmosphere was great. Music in the background not to loud. Decided to have tiger bun with tuna mayo, soup (carrot and coriander with a bun and a side of chips. Went down well. Had desserts but couldn’t move for a couple of hours as full to the brim 😱 think we overdid it. But it was worth it.
The landlord was friendly and it’s a nice place for a beer, the food was fairly run of the mill.
