First time visiting since re-opening and was really impressed. Reasonably priced hot drinks, soft drinks, snacks and sandwiches/hot food. Lovely and knowledgeable staff, lots of information about the Chesterfield Canal, local walks and boat trips available.
My Mum and I had afternoon tea here too (new venture for them) and it was fantastic. Vegan and vegetarian options were appreciated.

Nice route along the towpath for a stroll towards the railway station. Shame there is so much litter at the back of the premises of businesses along the route which can’t be good for the wildlife. They should be made to clean it up.

A fantastic last minute trip to Tapton Lock. Perfect family day out, as it was the 2024 festival also. So we enjoyed arts and crafts, a boat trip and kayaking too. Thank you to all who made today possible.

Great wee visitors centre right on the canal in Chesterfield. We’ll worth a visit for a nice walk along the canal and maybe stay for a cuppa or ice cream.
Also Toilets.
