Must be the rudist barman in Britain… Lucky he didn’t get a slap… Yahooing me from the far end of the bar after I’d been patiently waiting 10 minutes..
Great Marston pub, top hole on price
We had a meal and drinks £4.80 for a can of zero Guinness WOW.
Shall not get caught on that again
Pleasant atmosphere .food was good
Outside very tidy with access to the canal. Sat outside. Very warm day
We booked a lunch for 5 of us for Sunday lunch. We were greeted by a nice man who showed us to our table. We ordered at the bar and were served by Nardia. She was extremely welcoming, friendly, courteous and funny. She took our order in a timely fashion, and was very welcoming to us which made us feel very happy. Our neal was delicious,we were asked twice if our meal was ok, which it was. The whole experience was excellent, which was made particularly special by Nardia, she is a great asset to the pub, and has a brilliant customer service focus. Well done Nardia!
Stopped of on way to our sailing from Holyhead, pleasantly surprised tbh. Pretty location next to canal and grateful to stop to eat and stretch our legs after driving 350miles from southern England. Entered the pub and were immediately greeted by a young blonde girl with a big smile and friendly helpful attitude ( didn’;t get her name sadly) .we were seated near a window over looking the garden area and ordered our meal from the young lady who asked if we’d like some drinks while we waited? Unsure of what was available I decided Id go to the bar and order there . Glad I did tbh. The barmaid (Nadia) was a total gem really friendly chatty and we had a little bit of banter as I asked for Guinness and a carlsberg for my wife. Nadia then asked where we were from and and when realised we were from Ireland joked about being nervous serving a Guinness to an Irish customer. As she realised we ARE fussy about our traditional “black stuff” she then said she’d bring it to our table , and then spent a little while chatting and made us feel really welcomed and at ease, truly a gem as a member of staff as nothing seemed like to much bother for her. A totally accommodating helpful lady! Who truthfully made our visit an excellent experience. We both enjoyed our meal starter and main washed down by a second round of drinks. We then said our goodbyes as we’d to catch the ferry, left feeling appreciated as a customer happily fed and watered, and would most definitely return here when visiting Wales/England again 10/10 brilliant wee place with excellent staff!! Keep up the good work folks and many thanks regards Derek ( the fussy Guinness drinker ) lol 🤣
We had I fish and chips, when it came to the table we thought whoow, when opened up it was all batter and dried up fish with 12 chips on the plate. I had seabass they were small and dry around the edges and 4 prawns on the top, and we had to wait 45mins for it, so for what we got, it was very expensive.
