Friendly and very helpful boat hire. We had a great few days despite the weather! Lots of fun on Rosebrook. Nice cafe at the place too. Recommend the all day breakfast. Big thanks to Jackie and Rob!

We have just had a wonderful, very relaxing 3 night break on ‘Renee’. We have used other companies before but were really pleased with our boat which was far more comfortable, modern and better equipped than other boats we have tried. Jackie was very helpful and informative to set us off. We had everything we needed provided. The beds were surprisingly comfortable. The central heating was very effective. The only concern was the strange loo in one of the shower rooms, which wasn’t very effective. The other loo worked perfectly. An information package on board provided all the information we needed. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend Clifton Cruises.

We have used this canal company now 3 times. 2020 2021 and June 2024. They have a good range of canal boats of different sizes and layouts. The staff are ALL without exception helpful and enthusiastic about getting you on board etc. The boat yard has been greatly improved over the last few years with a nice cafe, a playarea for kids and picnic benches out front. However, there are a few things that would make this a 5 star rather a 4 star review from me.

Get the website right, there is the Clifton Cruisers website, which we use as booked direct and the photos are not accurate of the boats.Then there is the hoseasons website which is also not entirely accurate.nothing major, just little things that are annoying. However, Jackie, went above and beyond to rectify these things and I commend her for her enthusiastic nature and indeed her 3 point turning!!!!

I would also suggest putting three windlasses on board as its nice to be orgnaised with locks and for one to go ahead and get the next lock ready when doing a flight.

Their pricing is very competitive and they always offer a good reduction if you book directly with them.

Following a fantastic Easter weekend on our vessel Renee we wanted to leave a positive review. A big shout out to Jackie and Ricky for their excellent customer service to ensure we had a memorable weekend . We were not disappointed! A group of 5 woman over 50s looking for adventures no previous experience of boats whatsoever – however we need not have worried with excellent checking, training we travelled quite abit involving locks, refilling water tanks and the biggest 3 point turn, and 3 moorings the Black Country lasses nailed it. Hard work it was but oh my what fun we had , if we can do it anyone can. If you fancy an adventure pop along here – cannot fault this staff and company. Our vessel was accommodating with all mod cons; heating, WiFi, all kitchen appliances, clean linen and towels – the boat was spotless it was home from home ! Thank you Jackie and Ricky for a great experience truly memorable! And we was lucky with weather ! Black Country wenches Di, Natalie, Jane, Chrissy and Ali
