Everyone was so helpful, and the boat was in good order and clean. We had a fabulous day and couldn’t fault anything other than it wasn’t long enough – I now want a week.

We had such a lovely time! We chose to take the electric boat out for two hours and got a fair way along the canal. It was really quiet and peaceful – a few cheery people on the towpath and just a handful of others on the water (all going the other way so we passed them quickly!) We loved seeing the old bridges, and used the app Merlin to identify the birdsong. Chiff chaffs, blackbirds, robins and wrens were the most common, with blackcaps, woodpeckers, blue tits, great tits, chaffinches and others that I now can’t remember! The boatyard is lovely and there are refreshments (including ice creams!) available. Very friendly staff and a simple process. We’ll be back!

We had a lovely Autumn boat ride. It was so relaxing having hired an electric boat. We were greeted with smiles and made to feel welcomed. There are facilities onsite to enjoy tea and cake. It’s a lovely way to spend the morning ☺️

A hidden gem! Great service, beautiful canal, and a lovely coffee shack for afterwards. The canal itself is stunning, peaceful and on a sunny day the dappled shade makes for a very enjoyable trip … Whatever your mode of transport on the day. We took 2 kayaks for 2 hours and a gentle paddle did us 5km total trip distance.

Took our 10yr old daughter on an electric boat down the canal. Friendly and efficient boatman in the yard gave good clear instructions on use of the boat. Clean boat easy to operate. Our daughter steered most of the time. Herons and kingfishers flying around. Absolutely brilliant 2hrs. I would recommend 2 hours as opposed to the one hour time.
