Guide To Herbert Woods

Our holiday on the Norfolk Broads with Herbert Woods was nothing short of perfect! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The check-in process was smooth, and we were delighted to receive a text before arrival letting us know our boat was already waiting for us. At reception, a lovely lady greeted us with a big smile and a warm “Congratulations,” which made our UK honeymoon feel even more special.

The boat itself was immaculate – clean, tidy, and well-maintained. A thoughtful surprise was waiting for us onboard: a chilled bottle of Prosecco! This small gesture added a truly memorable touch to our honeymoon.

Not only did we enjoy the trip, but our dog too! The boat and beautiful surroundings were perfect for a pet-friendly getaway. Overall, the booking process was easy and seamless from start to finish, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. Highly recommend Herbert Woods for a fantastic holiday on the Broads!

Hired picnics boat from Potter Heigham. Staff all excellent, boat in very good condition and well presented which all made for a great day on the broards celebrating my wife’s 50th birthday. Highly recommended and would use again.

Another great weekend on the Norfolk Broads. Back to Herbert Woods again this year as they always have a great selection of boats and it’s a good location to start the weekend from. We took out Flash if Light for the weekend and we were a party of 3 men, so we all had a cabin and en-suite and to ourselves. From the reception welcome to handover it’s always a great experience at Herbert Woods. Still deciding on next years boat.

Had a really nice week sailing in the Norfolk Broads with a Herbert Woods boat. The company were really nice to deal with and provided lots of useful information prior to departure (especially useful given I’ve never piloted a boat before!). The area is lovely, and seeing it by boat (plus all the wildlife!) was amazing. The process of hiring the boat, the handover training etc. was really easy and well done. We had a few issues when out and about (including the boat nearly breaking down), but the staff were super helpful and made sure everything was sorted. Would deffo recommend to others considering a boating holiday.

Never been to the Norfolk Broads before let alone hired a boat for the week! Being on this pretty boat from Herbert Woods, transported me into a serene, calm, stress free world for the week. Never before have I felt so relaxed cruising along the Broads seeing all kinds of bird life that I have never seen before with my own eyes. We even saw otters! It was an absolute joy to see 3 kingfishers.

The boat ‘Adventuring Light 1’ had everything we needed for the week. Really luxurious, the dogs loved it too. We found the goodie bag on board an absolute delight full of nice things. Really friendly staff, great boatyard with parking. Myself, my boyfriend and our dogs had a wonderful week visiting different locations along the broads.
