What to say about Hunter’s Yard? Easily 6 out 5 for this legendary boat yard! Always special to visit lovely yachts, and staff are *very* accommodating too! Really enjoyed visits over the years, and hope to visit the fleet/yard again in the future! Treat yourself to a sail from Hunter’s ☺

A wonderful experience. I’m usually very nervous on the water, but Steve our Skipper was great, he put me at my ease and had we all had a thoroughly enjoyable sail. A great fun time was had by all in our party. Delighted to have been recognised as the best at steering the boat! Thank you Steve and Hunters Yard

The Hunter’s fleet is pretty unique on the Broads. I’ve been sailing Hustlers and Woods on and off for 37 years and they feel like a home from home. I love the purist nature of sailing these Broads cruisers. I lamented the removal of oil lamps and addition of electric inboards, but understand the Yard’s fear of one of their “old ladies” burning into the river. I witnessed the use of the electric motor on another boat, while I was quantity my purist one against heavy wind and tide. I think I could be swayed on that too!! The team of builders and repairers at the Yard are simply amazing skilled magicians at maintaining the fleet and fixing damage. Testament to the years of Percy, Cyril, County Sailing Base, Hunter’s Yard and all who have worked there over the years that some of the fleet are fast approaching being centurions and look as good as new! Thank you to you all!

What a treat. Almost reticent to review as more people will make use of it!
Staff were super engaging and friendly. Boat was in excellent condition. Briefing was comprehensive and happy to answer lots of questions.
Simple location to launch from. Nice clean facilities on site.
Hopefully we can come back again and have another adventure.
Photo of where we parked, not of the yard.

Beautiful boats, kept in top condition. We had the most senior (1936!) and she behaved impeccably. Lovely to sail. If you can’t sail she is worth learning for. But in the meantime definitely go on a skippered trip!
