Guide To Jones Family Cruising

Had a wonderful week cruising on narrowboat Maddison that we hired from Jones Family Cruising. The couple provided excellent instruction prior to our journey and started off with a tour and demonstrations as required.

We visited some beautiful areas locally prior to entering the Shropshire where yet again we were delighted with the beautiful countryside and the many quant public houses and restaurants.

We were very fortunate with the weather and Maddison handled excellently throughout.

As a party of four adults we found we had plenty of space and the facilities were more than adequate. If I could rate the owners and the vessel it would be 5 stars across the board.

We’ve just returned home after spending 10days cruising around the four counties ring. What a great holiday! Booking on the website was straightforward, the boat was ready for us when we arrived, immaculately presented and worked perfectly throughout our time afloat.

Rented for three days, for our first taste of canal life, great experience and very helpful owners, boat was wonderful with everything we needed and had lots of extras on board tea, coffee, etc etc

Picking up the boat and dropping back was easy and the instructions of how to steer and lock use was great.Will be booking again thanks for a great break.

What a wonderful experience our family have just endured on board the Maddison, Brevic and Michelle are lovely people who explained everything to us before we departed on our journey for the weekend of relaxing and enjoying the scenery along with meeting friendly boaters on the canal system. Our family have just spent a wonderful 5 nights onboard Maddison. Our daughter-in-law was apprehensive about spending 5 nights on a canal boat but she now thinks she could live on one! Maddison has everything you need and more. Brevic and Michele are brilliant owners who have gone the extra mile to make sure anyone who hires Maddison won’t be disappointed. We loved the little extras like teabags, coffee, sugar, cooking oil. Maddison is spotlessly clean and so obviously loved and cared for. We’ll definitely be back and possibly try out a different route. Thanks for everything. The Grainger family
