Guide To Le Boat

We chartered a boat with Le Boat in France, on the canal de Nivernais. It was our first time and we went for one of the budget boats. The boat we had was in very good condition, everything was working and the staff was very good in helping us to settle in and to drive the boat. We will definitely be using Le Boat again, it was a wonderful Holiday.

Fantastic experience with Le Boat. The staff were exceptional and the boat itself was very clean and well maintained. The flexibility of the route was also great, being able to have the car driven to our destination boatyard. We did the early check-in and late checkout which was relaxing.

Our boat was a Magnifique which was one of the less luxurious boats but still very comfortable and well appointed – and extremely spacious for two people and a dog!! The beds were a bit hard, there was no mains electricity and a few nice things like a table and chairs on the top deck were missing, but given our class of boat was the lowest in the fleet it was better than we expected. However next time we will go for a bit more luxury 😊.

None of this stopped us from having an amazing week though, especially the day going through Henley when the Regatta was in full swing.

All in all an experience we look forward to trying again soon.

All the charges that were made at the end of the trip were exactly as explained at the beginning and were not excessive despite what some other reviews have said. I must also say that we had a far better experience with Le Boat than trips we have done with other companies.(especially a famous one that begins with ‘H’ !!).

We have just returned from a wonderful week of boating on the Thames from Benson and returning to Benson. We had a Tango boat which was perfect for us and the dogs. The boat was exceptional in every way. I would recommend Le Boat. We will be booking with them again next year.

Nice people, lovely base, clean and tidy capable boat and great part of the world to see the beauty of the river and the Oxfordshire countryside.

Amazing place to enjoy a little bit on nature. Good quality equipment and professional staff. Highly recommend
