The marina is well-equipped and provides a range of facilities, including moorings, a reception with a chandlery, diesel and water points, a slipway, a workshop, a dry dock, a paint facility, and Calor gas services—all managed by a professional and friendly team. Boating enthusiasts can embark on various scenic routes, whether for a short break to Llangollen or longer journeys to Chester, where visitors can walk along the historic City Walls. We hired the day boat from this marina and travelled through the ellesmere tunnel towards the Prees junction for 2-1/2 hours before stopping for lunch, tying up along the towpath. The facilities on board the boat are great and the staff gave a very detailed introduction into using the narrow boat before heading off. Would highly recommend

Just back from joining friends at Ellesmere on a narrow boat for three nights of their two week trip. David was amazing! So helpful and patient at explaining all we needed to know with great comedy value added in. We did the Llangollen trip over four nights and it was fantastic.

Nice marina with plenty of walks around the area, it’s a only 10 minutes walk along the canal from the Town centre
