Guide To Lechlade Marina Ltd

Ian and Jules are very accommodating kind and helpful. They helped us to have a most wonderful holiday!

Launched our boat there for the season ahead, very friendly marina with facilities and only 2 minutes walk into Lechlade Town.

In April 2022 we were lucky enough to secure a mooring at this extremely well run and secure marina and have been delighted with the service provided by Ian and Jules ever since, their assistance and advice has been invaluable and much appreciated. Excellent communication gives us peace of mind at all times, knowing that our boat is being well and truly looked after. We look forward to spending many more happy years here.

We moored our Avon SIB here for a week and explored the Thames. What an amazing base to start our adventures. You can go a long way upstream and spend a few hours floating back down, We had a great time,

I emailed to ask about parking the car and launching our kayaks from the marina and got a quick reply from one of the owners (Jules) to confirm. Parking was £5 per car and launching was £5 per boat, which I thought was very reasonable! When you arrive it looks like you are driving into someone’s driveway, but you just need to pull up to the keypad in front of the big metal gates and call through to the main office. Jules came over to greet us and pointed us in the direction of the pontoon/slipway and the toilets. The toilets (including showers) typically remain locked so make sure to let the owners know if you’d like to use them!

It was very convenient to park so close to the launch point, I would highly recommend it. The water on the river was incredibly still and calm so it was perfect for trying out our new inflatable kayaks. On our return the other owner (Ian) introduced himself – very friendly people indeed 🙂
