Guide To Stoke on Trent Boat Building

We had our 35 year old boat shot blasted and then repainted at Stoke-on-Trent Boatbuilding Co Ltd. All of the staff there are great to deal with and nothing was too much trouble to ensure that we as customers were satisfied with the result. The finish is a 2 pack paint of high quality and hard wearing. Now we are back on our home mooring, many of the other boat owners there have admired our boat which really does look like new now. We look forward to the next few years cruising, as long as water levels permit, content to know that when we wish to sell our boat, it will still have superb paintwork. Thanks to Russ, Helen, Matt, Alex and Ant in particular, but to all the staff who have done a great job for us.

We arrived for a pump out close to the end of the day and received extremely friendly and helpful service, including help manoeuvring our boat with wind, low water levels and mud to contend with. Highly recommended!

Stopped at Stokeboats on the off chance they could fit me in for blacking and a service…I was out of the water that afternoon.

I thought I was pushing my luck by asking if they could also replace my rotting stern deck and dangerously rusty flue ( fabricated on site) and do a full repaint on my sad very rusty boat.

I knew I’d come to the right place and wasn’t wrong. All the work was very fairly priced and absolutely top quality by very skilled blokes who take huge pride in their work. I’ve been on the canals for over 20 years and have never been so happy with every aspect of service at a boatyard

Top service from the team at Stoke boats. I’ve had new sacrificial edges welded on, pit welding where necessary and grit blasted and epoxy coating on the whole hull. New anodes fitted.The works were carried out in a timely manner with excellent results.

An excellent boatyard! The standard of service is exemplary, going above and beyond in their customer care. Their knowledge and skills are first rate and I would highly recommend them for hull surveys, welding and blacking. We felt that we got true value for money as their pricing was very competitive.
