Fantastic holiday, brilliant boat (Kintail) fantastic team who could not be more helpful and attentive. Detailed handover and training so even with no experience, even such a large, we felt confident as we left the boat yard and headed south west. Genuinely brilliant way to explore the Caledonian Canal and the great glen. Top tip, book one of their stunning house boats for the night before departure, and book early departure on your cruiser. On the Saturday morning Kintail was brought along side the house boat. Very special!

We had a lovely time aboard the Balmoral boat last week. Spacious, had everything you needed and was such a relaxing break with some lovely quiet spots to stop along the way. Great service, lots of information about the route and timings and we’d definitely do it again stopping at different places on the way next time.

Caley Cruisers is an amazing company – very professional and they provided great support from start to finish. Lots of useful information sent before we picked up our boat (the Eriskay), this let us plan our journey in advance and learn everything we needed to know such as knots, speed limits etc!

The staff were all so friendly and supportive. The boat was beautiful – lots of room for the two of us!

On arrival we had an hour handover where we were shown how everything works on the boat and taken for a short practise run! This really helped my confidence as everything was explained very clear!

We hired the boat from Friday to Monday so we had plenty time to travel from Inverness through the canal and out onto Loch Ness, first night Urquhart Bay (a great place to spent the first night with restaurants and good pubs just a short walk), second day we travelled to Fort Augustus (again lots of great cafes, shops, restaurants and pubs). We travelled back and spent our final night at Dochgarroch (Great cafe and gift shop here and Highland cows in season). The scenery the full way was incredible.

There was always plenty of space to moor for the night. We found people to be helpful especially the lock keepers who helped us navigate our way through the locks. Caley cruisers kept us up to date with the weather too which was really helpful!

Everything was perfect and we have made memories that will last a lifetime! Can’t recommend Caley Cruisers enough!

From booking to checking out, Caley are an amazing company to deal with, and who provide the most fantastic getaway experience! Eriskey III was our boat, perfect for 2 adults and 2 dogs. Comfortable, well fitted out and furnished (very comfy bed!) and easy to drive and manoeuvre. Expert instruction before you set off, info and instructional videos sent well in advance, and a detailed boat guide on board.

You will cruise through spectacular scenery, interact with the friendly and very helpful team of lock keepers, and meet people from all over the world on their boats. Truly is a fantastic trip, we strongly recommend, and we will be back!

Our last day of 7 nights on the Caledonian Canal, what a fantastic family holiday with 3 generations and 2 dogs sharing the experience.
