Beautiful place nice walk really enjoyed the experience. Bit History to the old lime kilns, lovely long walks, as far as you try, ideal dog walks. Yet it was the views I enjoyed, fileds, squirrels, nature cows, goats, birds it was all going on highly recommended. Cafe was popular, quirky had some variety of novelty items very good I liked that echoes, not quite unfortunately but it does have a outside for dogs kids,. I enjoyed it. Recommend oh yes must be visited I think 🤔 you would like it goytre wharf is a lovely place.

Down side is not many disabled bays, had to park in other carpark, and scrapped the bottom of my scooter going over the speed bumps. But once down the bottom it is lovely

We recently hired a day boat from ABC Day Boat Hire and had a fantastic experience! Our group consisted of three adults, seven children, and even our dog – and the boat was spacious and comfortable enough for all of us to enjoy the day together.
The canal route was absolutely scenic, with beautiful countryside views and peaceful stretches of water that made for a relaxing and enjoyable trip. It was a perfect way to spend a day outdoors, and the kids loved the adventure of being on the water.
A special mention to Dom, who gave us our induction before we set off. He was incredibly friendly, patient, and informative – making sure we felt confident and safe before heading out. His clear instructions and helpful tips made a big difference, especially as we had such a big group.
Overall, it was a brilliant day out. We’d highly recommend ABC Day Boat Hire to anyone looking for a fun and memorable experience on the canal!

Good place to come for a walk along the canal, there is a small cafe that offers nice food and drink. Good selection of dishes. Staff are helpful and pleasant.

A great place to visit. You can walk along the canal, both up and down. We went on a Monday which was a shame as the cafe, which we’ve been to before and is excellent, wad shut. Shoulda looked that up on Google first! Luckily there is another little shop, mainly stocking boat related items, and tea towels. We were able to purchase a good range of tasty snacks as can be seen in photo 2. We needed these snacks as we’d riden our bikes down from Abergavenny and thought the cafe would be open. 😃
