Guide To Wrenbury Mill

Wrenbury Mill Marina is located on the famous Llangollen Canal near Nantwich. It provides boaters with access to the waterways that renowned engineers Thomas Telford and William Jessop created through the Cheshire countryside between 1795 and 1808.

The marina offers a wide range of facilities, including essential services like gas, diesel, and pump-out facilities, as well as specialised technical support available through their Beta Marine Engine dealership. Additionally, the on-site shop and chandlery ensure that boaters have everything they need for their adventures on the water.

6 stars would be more accurate! Lynn, Roy, Josh & all the rest of the team went above and beyond for us when our alternator went in our private narrowboat. They let us arrive after hours and moor alongside for two nights and plug in while we waited for the new part that I ordered to be delivered to the Wharf, which was quickly & expertly fitted by Roy. The chandelry is well stocked and we got a good price on diesel as well! Also, the way they looked after and interacted with the hiring customers was top notch. Nothing was too much for them…highly recommended for anything, hiring, help or advice, anything. Cheers guys!

I really like this pub. The beer is always good (I’m an ale drinker so it’s important 😋) and the food is also always good. I certainly recommend this pub if you’re passing.

We stayed at the Grain store for a week very relaxing with a great view of the marina. Lynn in the shop was very helpful giving us some ideas for visiting in the area all the staff are friendly.

The pub Dusty Miller is just a small walk and the food is good and well presented with the staff friendly and courteous.

The team at Wrenbury Mill boatyard are extremely kind, genuinely lovely people who go out of their way to help you and support you in a time of need.

At a time when I was struggling to find a part for my BMC and other issues, the friendly staff at Wrenbury were more than happy to be of service and assist me in any way they could.

For a small chandlery, they have quite a wide range of products, though the specific part I required was not available (as was the case with all other local boatyards), they were considerate and knowledgeable in helping me think of alternative solutions.

Unrivalled customer service, a rarity in times like these when most chandlers just want you out the door and out of their hair!

A special thanks to Lynn and Roy.

Best wishes and see you again on my passage back down the Llangollen.
