Great mid afternoon pint whilst crusing along the canal

Could of spent much longer there enjoying the peaceful life but boats don’t steer themselves (yet)

Nice pub on the canal junction, with a nice outdoor seated area for looking at the canal and the ducks and swans that have made their home there.

The young staff that served were a little ‘nonchalant’ and lacking in the basic skills of polite service.

But all ok, ok pub grub, ok pub.

First, the food here is incredibly good. Both my dinner (fajitas) and the Sunday carvery were excellent. Each was better than I expected.

Service is very so so. Everyone was nice enough but it was just – lacking. Case in point. 6 of us sat down for Sunday lunch. We were handed 5 menus that were all one inside the other and two one pagers that had the carvery options. So, we separated and passed them around. Just irritating things like that.
