It is rare to have a welcoming and warm pub in these times and The Straw Hat ticks those boxes.

I have lived locally to the pub for some time but only really been a patron in the last few months but now dont understand why it took so long.

Love hearing the bad renditions of Mr Brightside on Kareoke night from my garden as well. Atmosphere is always so good

I visited this pub whilst visiting a relative from around the corner.

We were made to feel really welcome by the customers and we were allowed to take our dog in the pub. The lovely landlady gave us some fresh water for her. My daughter got hungry whilst we were in the pub and was allowed to bring in chips from the chippy! We will definitely be visiting again!!

Great local welcoming pub with great staff & atmosphere. They support local charities & are involved with the community campaign against knife crime

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Very rude and unpleasant woman approached me right after parking ordering me to move my car as soon as I parked, when my husband was about to go in for a drink – he hasn’t even had a chance to get out of the car when she ordered us to leave. Proceeding to threaten us with a parking fine when she wrongly assumed we weren’t going in, even after I said we were going in! What a joke of a pub. Clearly, we took our business elsewhere & will avoid like the plague. Don’t waste your time.
