I highly recommend getting in touch with Jem and Scott at Bates Boatyard if you’re looking for work to be carried out. Both are super friendly, seem to know everyone in the local boating community, and most importantly, have great workmanship at fair prices.

I was in the dry dock for six days for a survey, to get blacked, and to have various pieces of welding work done. I chose them after hearing good things online and on the local canal grapevine. They were knowledgable, quick to reply and flexible when I needed a last minute change. The work was brilliant, and another boater leant out of their boat hatch to compliment it on my first cruise out of the dock.
