A stunning location, incredibly peaceful and sheltered by the folds of the Blorenge. Offers gentle walking along the canal in either direction and a very challenging walk up to the Blorenge on a steep path. You can also walk down to Abergavenny for plenty of places to eat and drink.

I haven’t stayed at the cottage(s), but, I pass by occasionally when cycling the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal and, personally, I think it’s one of the more picturesque locations along the route.

Located the base of the Blorenge Mountain is this idyllic, pretty historic Wharf. Park at the Llanfoist Crossing car park and walk up hill to the canal. Worth a visit. This is also the starting point if you wanted to walk up the towering Blorenge Mountain as shown going uphill on my photos. Beautiful photo opportunity ❤️.

Stunning location and very nice cottage. Stayed here for two nights in February with my family. A super clean, cosy and warm place that was a great location to relax and enjoy time with the family.

This is a magical place to visit in the quiet of late Autumn before the Hubble and Bubble of Christmas. Private, beautifully appointed and equipped with everything you might need to enjoy this gateway to the Brecon Mountains.

Log fires, hot tub, welcome for dogs.. can’t be beaten. Alasdair and Sarah have done something wonderful here in Llanfoist.
