This family-run establishment offers well-appointed rooms, catering to both leisure and business travellers. Additionally, its popular bar attracts visitors from around the world, especially motorcycle enthusiasts. Recently, the hotel underwent an impressive £1.5 million refurbishment and reopened in August 2023 under new management by Country Village Inns. The renovations include upgraded guest rooms, new bathrooms, an expanded bar area, and a function room.
Its prime location provides stunning views of Castle Street and easy access to local attractions, including the heritage Llangollen Railway, Llangollen Canal, and numerous historical sites. This makes the Bridge End Hotel an ideal base for exploring the natural beauty and rich culture of North Wales.

Stayed at the hotel last night, the room was nicely decorated and very clean, couldn’t see in the mirror in the bathroom as it was way to high, needs to be lower.
I like the fact that it is dog friendly as l have a dog of my own who l couldn’t bring with us as he is elderly.
The breakfast was very good, the lady who served us was so lovely with excellent customer service.
Only criticism was the parking which was away from the hotel and we had to pay for, if we had stayed for more than one night it would have added a fair amount to our stay.
This is by FAR the best place to eat and drink in Llangollen. I have not stayed in the rooms yet so I can’t comment on those, but I will do soon hopefully. I always come in here with my dog at the end of one of my long treks, and I am made so welcome by everyone and even all the customers are friendly too. I brought 8 friends and family for a meal last week and Jason and Liv were brilliant, as usual, with smiles and attentive hosting they are a joy. The chefs work so hard to ensure the food comes out in a timely way and is always hot and every meal was different and every one ate everything as it was so delicious. So if you are considering where to eat and drink in Llangollen, The Bridge End with it’s great atmosphere, fantastic food and staff will exceed your expectations, see you again soon x
Stopped overnight at the Hotel and I really enjoyed the stay. The atmosphere in the pub was great, was very popular and doggy friendly as well. They had the best spot to sit outside on a spring afternoon in the sunshine. No other pub had their beer garden open. Food and staff were excellent. The walk up to the castle was steep but really worth it and starts literally next to the pub. The closest car park is the Mill Street car park which is only a couple of minutes away and a nice walk next to the river. Breakfast was awesome too but the car park starts charging from 8 so I went across in advance as breakfast starts at the same time. There is a long stay car park a little further away if you fancy not doing the same. Room and toilet / shower was a little cosy but it all worked and was really clean. I would definitely stay again and is planned for hopefully soon.
Today I stopped here initially for refreshments but the atmosphere was really nice and quite relaxing.
I returned for a late lunch and wasn’t disappointed, the staff were friendly & efficient and our lunches were as to be expected, very good. Our group had an assortment from the menu and it arrived hot and looked & tasted great.
On that note it’s fair to say, we will be back soon.
All in all a nice, friendly, welcoming pub.
Recently refurbished hotel. Friday night in the bar, and it looked very busy with great atmosphere. Food varied and great tasting . The service was very good. Definitely recommend coming back her. We stayed, and room 2 was recently redecorated to great standard. No complaints. It’s a walkers pub as breakfast, which was good, is only from 0800 to 0900
