Guide To The Horseshoe Inn
Nestled in the picturesque countryside near Welshpool, The Horseshoe Inn, commonly known as "The Horseshoes," is a Grade II-listed establishment with a rich history that dates back to the early 17th century when it began as a coaching inn.Interestingly, the property belonged to nearby Brithdir Hall until 1919, making it an important part of the area’s architectural and social heritage. Today, The Horseshoe Inn thrives under private ownership after previously being managed by a pub company, providing visitors with a welcoming atmosphere whether they come for quality ales—including Wye Valley HPA and rotating guest beers—or to enjoy fixed-price dining in the restaurant.
Beyond its charming interior, guests can relax in the spacious beer garden, which includes an enclosed play area for children. History enthusiasts will appreciate the opportunity to explore the old limekiln and Montgomery Canal, located just behind this quintessential Welsh country pub.

I have with my campervan on a couple of occasions where the overnight fee is free although you should eat in the pub. The food was excellent and priced reasonably. A friendly welcome was given by the bar staff.
