Guide To Thames River Cruise

I booked the afternoon tea cruise on the Thames for myself and a group of friends, and it was honestly one of the best afternoon tea experiences we have ever had. The entire cruise felt absolutely magical and is well worth every penny. The price is great for everything you get, combining lovely food with incredible views. To top it off, all of the staff were phenomenal and made us feel so welcome throughout the trip. I highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for something special.

Took the grandchildren on the 45 minutes half-term trip. The kids loved spotting the birds and ticking them off on the picture sheets they were given. Just right for children.

This is such a lovely thing to do. My adult daughter and I did the 90 minute trip to Mapledurham and back on the May Bank Holiday weekend. It was not at all crowded and we were encouraged to walk around. James and Adam were brilliant. The live commentary was interesting and informative. Refreshments and toilet was available on board. We were glad it was a covered boat as it was an extremely hot day. I would thoroughly recommend.

Extra tip: Free parking was available in the nearby Thameside Promenade carpark on the Saturday but do check as this might change.

Special thanks to the two-man crew who saved our day today. They made my dad and brother’s first visit to Caversham truly worthwhile after I made a genuine booking error. Very kind and professional service. thank you and well done.

A wonderful river cruise with great crew and very delicious lunch. All home baked bread and the ham was divine. Very pretty trip from Caversham to Pangbourne. Saw lots of wildlife and nature and loved going through the lock. Thank you to the skipper and his crew for a lovely afternoon out.
