Guide To The Sun Inn
The Sun Inn, located at 1 Wharf Street in Godalming, is a classic traditional English pub situated at the intersection of Wharf Street and High Street.Sports enthusiasts can gather around multiple TV screens to watch major matches while enjoying pub classics like chicken and ham pie or lamb casserole with dumplings. Interestingly, a full English breakfast is offered until a generous 5 PM. As the evening approaches on Fridays and Saturdays, the atmosphere changes when local bands perform, filling the historic building with live music until midnight.
Beyond its reputation as “the sporty one” among Godalming’s pubs, The Sun Inn also features three comfortable en-suite rooms upstairs. This makes it not only a place to drink and dine, but also a welcoming home away from home in this charming Surrey town.

A ‘proper’ pub; very traditional, unspoilt, unpretentious, and becoming a rarity these days. Top marks!

A very friendly pub with major sport events being shown on TV. Also most weekends they have local bands playing live music. Bar staff are brilliant and you are always guaranteed a wonderful night out

What can we say, an old fashioned pub, looks like it’s had the same decor for about 100 years, not a bad thing I might add, staff very friendly and helpful.
