We had a week on Home James on a very relaxing trip to Middlewich and back. The handover was excellent and prepared both myself and my wife for an enjoyable holiday. The boat was well equipped and provides a lovely comfortable space in which to relax. We enjoyed splendid views and lovely chilled nights, totally unwinding.

We had an amazing experience renting the canal boat with Thorn Marine. We were traveling with two young children and they put our minds at ease with well fitting life jackets. It is a beautiful and relaxing way to spend a day! Definitely recommend it!

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Thorne Marine canal boat hire! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional, making sure the kids had well fitting life jackets before we even stepped out of the office. They took the time to give us a full briefing on how everything worked and made sure we were completely comfortable before setting off and stayed on board with us while we practiced manoeuvring and doing a 180 degree turn.

The boat was spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and very easy to handle. Cruising along the Bridgwater canal was peaceful and relaxing, even with two crazy boys who are usually more into climbing, gaming, and wrestling each other . We went in the direction of Daresbury as we live in Lymm so decided not to head back that way, we stopped off at Walton Hall and Gardens and the kids were so excited to arrive by boat rather than the usual car!

It was such a refreshing break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and was a nice Fathers Day alternative to the pub lunch we would usually do. I can’t recommend Thorne Marine enough. We’ll definitely be booking again!

Fantastic experience, friendly staff and the boat has all you need (cutlery, glasses, cooker, fridge, sink). Really wonderful 5 day holiday cruising the canal and enjoy the Autumnal view.

We booked Rambling Thorn for a fun day out for our anniversary and had a lovely day despite the weather. Handover and guidance were excellent. Cabin was clean and well-equipped with a little cooker, kettle, sink and fridge. Had everything we needed for our picnic. Highly recommended and for not much more than a posh meal out. Will definitely do this again.
