Expanded by succeeding monarchs to become a palace as well as a place of defence, until after the reign of Edward 1. Also used as a prison, the famous traitor’s gate opens onto the river itself. Now it has become famous for housing the crown jewels and also for the colourful Yeoman Warders or Beefeaters.

The place spoke a lot and we had a walk for nearly 4 hours. Such a gorgeous historical monument with clear and precise descriptions. The souvenirs attracted us a lot and we bought a lot. Worthful for the entrance fee and all tourists must pay a visit…

This place is truly fantastic—beautiful, spacious, and with plenty of climbing for those ready to explore. The architecture and atmosphere are breathtaking. The only downside is the Crown Jewel display: it’s stunning to see in person, but photography is not allowed, which is disappointing for visitors who want to share the experience with family and friends on social media. Even so, the history here is rich and fascinating, and the overall experience is so impressive that I would gladly return again.

Great day visiting The Tower of London. All the staff were really nice and helpful. Jewels were amazing. And the White Tower. So much history. And don’t forget the Ravens 🐦⬛

Truly incredible. You must experience it. Plan plenty of time to explore and take in the history. The line for the Crown Jewels can get lengthy but does move fairly quick. However, be prepared for an abundance of people inside the actual building where the jewels are held.

Tower of London is a must see if on holiday in London. It was a great tour, but is a lot of waking / climbing of stairs; for those with mobility issues. Really great attraction.
The Crown Jewels were amazing, but you cannot take any photos of them, so just be aware of that.
