This is a fabulously small husband and wife run boat hire company.

Mike and Sharron are the nicest people and so helpful and supportive on your arrival. The boat, ‘Maid Marion’, at only 50ft long, is very responsive and very easy to navigate along the canal.

I say this with no disrespect to the owners, but, Maid Marrion needs updating. Her interior is showing alot of wear and tear. The bathroom shower needs a lower entrance shelf as my wife had great difficulty to enter and exit, needing my assistance each time. The boat needs an entire paint job and solar panels wouldn’t go a miss to keep the battery topped up when moored on an evening. We had a great time, but some walks to the pubs are further than you think. Don’t forget you fishing gear, its a canal full of large fish. I got a 10lb pike.

We had such a wonderful time cruising down the canal.

The boat is well equipped.

Will certainly be going again.

Lovely boat …everything you might need ..friendly helpful hosts …useful tuition …stunning scenery …plenty of places to stop ( favourite pub was in Clarborough )

We got to the far side of Retford and enjoyed mastering the locks on the way .

If you are tentatively considering a booking ….don’t hesitate …it will be the best thing you’ve done for quite a while !!

Just had 5 days on Robin Hood with family travelling from West Stockwith to Clayworth. Stunning scenery, lovely people along the way on and off the canal. Great, patient instruction from Mark and Sharon who couldn’t do enough to give you the confidence to set off on your own. Lovely well equipped boat, plenty of everything needed. Few pubs/eateries along the way. Can’t recommend highly enough if you want a relaxing holiday away from it all. Thank you Mark and Sharon.

Absolutely amazing weekend break on Robin Hood, the kids and the dog absolutely loved it! The boat is well equipped and the handover was informative- the hosts are brilliant and advise on everything before you head off.

Our only regret was not hiring for longer but we will definitely hire again and go further.
