Guide To Mayfield Boats

We hired a cruiser/picnic boat for two days mooring it overnight near our campsite. The boat itself was fairly basic and although it was a few years old it was great. The cost was good value for money compared to other local boat hire companies.

On arrival at the boatyard James went through the paperwork, went through some basic instructions and gave us a quick demo then off we went. Managed to get a warning from the boat ranger so maybe the speedometer needs some adjustment. We had two very enjoyable days on the river. Would probably have given 5 stars if the boat had been a bit cleaner but that didn’t detract from the experience.

We recently hired a day boat from Maycraft and had a brilliant few hours out on it. The staff were really friendly and accommodating and the boat was great for the 8 of us to travel up to Ranworth and back again. Really easy to use the boat and it was a great way to see more of the beautiful Norfolk Broads.

Really friendly and helpful, lovely chap showed us around the boat before setting off, recommended some places we could get to in the time we had and what was there. Hired a boat here for 5 hours, cheapest in the area and worth the walk up the path, we had a fabulous day, such beautiful scenery, we stopped off at the Abbey ruins which were beautiful to see! We went into Horning passing beautiful houses, wildlife was amazing, swans, ducks, herons and even an otter swam out in front of us! We highly recommend maycraft and will use again when in the area

Hired a boat for a few hours. Easily the cheapest on the Broads! Friendly staff who explained everything really well before we departed. Bit of a walk from the car park though. Will be returning for a full days hire!
