Room was a little dated and could do with thicker curtains to block the light.
Worked well for visiting the folks close by.
Breakfast on the marina was excellent and great value.
Friendly staff and nice views.

🌟 5-Star Review for Royden Marina Village 🌟
I can’t recommend Royden Marina Village highly enough — this place is a hidden gem that truly exceeded expectations!
I stupidly booked via “booking.CON”
Who said it was the last superior room, then when I got confirmation said it was standard!!
I rang them and they up graded to superior
From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The marina itself is beautifully maintained, with tranquil surroundings and stunning views that create a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Whether you’re visiting by boat or just looking for a lovely spot to stay, it’s the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle.
The facilities are excellent: clean, modern showers and washrooms, well-kept pontoons, ample parking, and a fantastic café serving great coffee and homemade cakes — ideal for a leisurely afternoon. The entire site is immaculately presented and clearly cared for with pride.
The staff deserve a special mention: professional, helpful, and always ready with a smile. Nothing was too much trouble, and their attention to detail really made the whole experience stand out.
The village itself has a lovely, friendly feel with plenty of walks nearby for anyone who enjoys nature and the outdoors. It’s also a great spot to moor up and explore the surrounding area.
In short, Royden Marina Village is a perfect place for boaters, holidaymakers, and anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with top-class facilities and service. I’ll definitely be back — it’s a place you won’t want to leave!

Roydon Marina Village is a lovely gem of a place. Only 35 mins from home but a perfect escape from reality. We took our 2 kids for the weekend and had a great time. Great place to spend time outdoors and the grounds have lots of places to walk. The lodge was a tad out dated but was clean and served us well. Beds are comfy! The village is fairly close as well as the train station. Lots of boats and trains to see. Only thing that would have made it better, would have been a play park for the kids. However, most of the people staying there are clearly retired. So it makes sense not to have one! We enjoyed it and will be back for sure!
