Camping review: pitches OK, flat, close to facilities but very packed in. Facilities OK, functional, but not well maintained or clean. Pool also OK but not that clean. Shop is OK, doesn’t carry any gas though. Restaurant is fine but it’s very basic pub fare, definitely not anything special. Expensive for what it is.

We went camping here for a week. Lovely place. Staff were very friendly and we had fun paddle boarding and going out to some places with the kids. Definitely would go again.

Having to pay £13 for Wi-Fi for the week in this day and age is scandalous! Should come as standard. And it was rubbish! And that was only one device – £5 for each extra device!
Otherwise, a very nice lodge with hot tub – a few small niggles but nothing major, it was a lovely place to stay.
Swimming pool is fairly small but isn’t that busy as it’s a small site.

We had a week here with our dog in a pet friendly wooden lodge with hot tub. Initially the Lodge did smell a bit so we had to open the windows. There were also dead flies on the window sills. The outside deck and hot tub cover was covered in bird droppings so i had to swill it all off with some soapy water.
I think it had been shut for a while and not cleaned properly- even the boiler was switched off. The Bed linen etc was fresh and the location was lovely. We ate in the onsite bar the first night. The food and beer was lovely and Service was great.

I really enjoyed my time there. It was very peaceful being by the river.
The room was lovely, very clean and well equipped with various beverage options, a fan, a hairdryer, an iron and ironing board.
The bed and sofa bed were comfortable.
The staff were very amenable and polite. The food in the restaurant was very good – well prepared, tasty, and decent sized portions.
Good parking facilities too. Would definitely recommend and return.
