Guide To Welford Marina

Great place to moor your narrowboat, or as a walking base. Good walking up the towpath to Nth Kilworth, or into Welford. Good pub, The Wharf, as well!

The Wharf Hotel. Their real ale is always in top condition. Consistently one of the best pubs in Leicestershire!

Dead End of Welford Arm (GUC).

Always crowded by narrowboaters – because of the nice recommended pub “Wharf Inn”?!!

Short footwalk through the “Pocket Park” to the small, well sorted grocery store/post office. Take a short break after “shopping” in St. Mary’s Church and have a look at the georgeous painting of the organ.

Nothing spectacular but nice to stay overnight.

Superb place for a walk to chill and enjoy nature. It’s one of my favourite spots

Fabulous little place great for the boat and lots of wildlife beautiful scenery and a superb pub at the end of the arm. Would thoughrouly recommend a visit
