Absolutely first class, gorgeous castle, perfect location the wow factor, love how a lot of original features have been kept. Great accessibility ♿️ for disabled people as the stairs have chair lifts great idea, the grounds and forest are amazing. The staff are lovely and welcoming and we were just in T-Shirts and shorts with our children there is a bistro you can pop into for a drink and bite to eat, the do weddings here. The little chapel in the grounds is beautiful and quaint. Beautiful place. Honestly haven’t looked at prices to stay there would imagine it’s not cheap but for a special occasion or your wedding it would probably be worth it.

Just back from a 2 night break for my birthday. Totally chilled and a much needed relaxed time had.

Lovely staff and they even put a little happy birthday card and a couple of chocolates in the room, which wasn’t asked for but they knew it was my birthday. Very sweet.

Room was amazing! Had a fireplace, bath AND shower. Plus a huge bed.

Like others have said, the food could be a bit better. Not a huge menu in the Brasserie.

Didn’t eat dinner in the other restaurant (only for breakfast)

If we didn’t have the £20 allowance for food I’ll be honest, we probably would have eaten elsewhere on my birthday. But still enjoyable.

Overall, we would definitely go back! Perfect for a nice relaxing break and close enough to Cheshire Oaks which is worth a trip out (around 30 mins drive)

Stunning surroundings make it all the more fabulous.

Thank you.

Really beautiful setting, amazing location and wonderful grounds. Unfortunately the staff at reception were incredibly rude to me when I went to check in, making me feel like a burden for asking for help with my bags by rolling their eyes and saying we don’t have time. In the end they helped me after I made it clear that in a floor length gown I could not carry multiple bags up 3 flights of stairs. What made matters worse was a couple who came after me to check-in were treated extremely well and offered every assistance. I understand weddings are stressful events but I expected for a premium price point I would receive at least good customer service. For that reason alone I would not return.

Stayed for 2 nights at this stunning venue. Our room was small but the decor was beautiful. We ate in both restaurants- which were both superb. All of the staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help- a special shout out to the barman in the wine cellar last Tuesday who was particularly attentive!

Thank you all for a lovely stay. X

The staff, venue, service and food quality were all fantastic. The food was well presented, the triple cooked chips are stunning!

The staff were really helpful and a couple of minor issues were resolved quickly. The staff were incredible and really demonstrate the spirit of hospitality.

The venue is stunning. We will definitely be returning. Thank you for a great stay.
