Excellent, honest, and friendly service… diesel is a good price, and is simple to moor up for when passing by. The hire boats are very well maintained and probably the most characterful hire fleet in the whole country. The quality and variety of work undertaken here is exceptional for a small yard.

A fabulous week on the cut to celebrate our wedding anniversary on narrowboat ‘Tia Dalma’. It was great with fabulous weather (beyond our control! 😎😂😎), and the boat was fabulous and the conversations with Rue were very interesting on all things about boats, the canal network, cars and motorbikes. Five stars, well deserved. Thank you to Rue, Jane and Jane.

We have today returned from a “Weekend with Jack”

What an absolutely amazing time we had. Being apprehensively excited as complete novices, Rue spent a good hour or more showing us how the boat worked and even how to do an emergency stop! not that we actually ended up having to do one!

Jack was very well equipped, 3 ring gas hob and oven, shower and flushing toilet, sink and drainer, hot and cold running water, central heating and under floor heating to name but a few

On arrival Reu and Jane were very welcoming and answered all our questions in a simple to understand manner

Being let lose on the boat on our own was a bit ‘scary’ but we soon settled into the 3mph!

There were plenty of places to pull over and stop and usually there was a pub not too far away. We tried the Boat House at Braunston and the Barley Mow at Newbold (Their Sunday lunch was superb)

All in all 5 Star, we would definitely rent from Armada again

All the positive reviews previous to this one show how well thought of Armada Boat Hire is. I can only echo that after having the last week on Hector and thoroughly enjoying the experience.

A well designed and thought out boat built/converted with everything you would need for a stay on board and travelling along the canals. Numerous lights, mains power points, USB ports, a good sized toilet and bathroom, good cooking facilities, well ventilated or conversly, snugly warm with not only a standard hot air heater but also it’s own solid fuel stove.

Everything was provided and well kitted out with good quality equipment plus the friendliness, communications and professionalism was second to none. Highly recommended and thank you.

We rented Hector for a week. Ru is hood fun and he’s a biker so obviously a good lad! The boart was great. It is a little small insude truth be told but we wanted to start boating small for ease. The small size does have advantages however when manoeuvring and mooring. We had a great time cruising the North Oxford, Coventry and Ashby canals. Thanks Hector, Ru and Jane!
