This is a solid pub. The buffalo burger is excellent, it’s difficult to stand out in a crowded market for pub burgers but this is well worth ordering.
The beer was good and there is a broad range of gin.
The landlady was accommodating and friendly and she kept everything ticking over nicely.
Recommended for anyone who wants a good, if not revolutionary, menu and a friendly drink. Prices were also very reasonable.

Love this place! We hired a long boat from Kate’s boats, motored on down the river, came across this quaint little pub (not hard in the UK), and stopped for dinner. We were not disappointed.
Great service, friendly, helpful staff, cold beers and wines.
Food came out quick too.
Set on such a beautiful location right on the canal!
We are Aussies touring the UK and just loving it!
If you are thinking of visiting this area, this little pub is a must 🤗

This was definitely my favourite pub in the area, beautiful location by the canal, very traditional inn and seemingly very popular.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, drinks were well kept and tasted great, although we didn’t eat here ( we wished we had! ) the meals coming out looked amazing and generous, it’s definitely on the list for when we return to the area.

Just been here to meet a friend. Great traditional canal side pub, loads of character. Nice steak, chips and salad. Good beers at a reasonable price.
Suggestions: pic litter up from the car park. Remove the abandoned car from the car park. Replace/mend the benches outside as very rickety!

Had an amazing birthday meal. Rich and Sarah really made my mother in law feel special, even did a cake for her. Great food, the burgers were lovely, the steak was perfectly cooked and the cottage pie special was delicious. A great, friendly atmosphere in the pub. Would highly recommend.
