Just had lunch here. Selected from the “lite bites” menu. Service very friendly. Food good, well cooked and beautifully presented. Excellent value. Would definitely recommend.

NOT DOG FRIENDLY

On the website, on the banner and all over the pub it claims to be ‘dog friendly’ and even serves a dog treat menu. However not in the restaurant. There was no sign in person or online stating that in the restaurant area, dogs weren’t allowed. I put my dog in the car for the duration of the meal as it was a family birthday and we are not local. Another dog walked in and sat in the restaurant and the staff gave the dog a bowl. Both dogs were the same size. My partner was given the wrong order and the puddings were small. The food is average and the service was poor. Would not recommend

Yeah We had a wonderful Sunday lunch after we parked our canal hired boats. even though it was a last-minute arrangement for 15 people. Despite a shortage in stock, we managed to get our steaks and drinks from a nearby restaurant. The waitstaff, both the lady and the young man, were lovely and very friendly throughout the meal. Thank you and we definitely come back again 🙏

We recently celebrated a family anniversary as a group of 20, first time dining since Hannah and the team took over. The meals came out almost simultaneously and we’re hot and tasty. We couldn’t fault the professionalism of the staff and we were made to feel very welcome. We will definitely be back.

Our extended family of nine visited for a birthday meal last night.

We could not find fault with anything. Everyone commented on how delicious their meal was.

Top quality, thanks Rachel for looking after us so well.

Highly recommend The Royal Oak. Five stars all round.
