Visitors particularly appreciate the spacious beer garden and patio, which provide a perfect outdoor retreat during pleasant weather. Meanwhile, the cosy interior offers refuge when the British climate is less forgiving. The pub takes pride in catering to various dietary preferences, with vegetarian-friendly and gluten-free options available, ensuring that all guests find something to enjoy.
With convenient features such as ample parking, wheelchair accessibility, and a family-friendly policy—including the provision of highchairs—The Three Stirrups has established itself as more than just a drinking establishment. It serves as a community cornerstone where locals and visitors alike gather to share stories, enjoy hearty meals, and experience the authentic hospitality that defines the best of Staffordshire’s pub tradition.

I’ve lived in the area for years, but only recently been in The Three Stirrups. Cracking pub that still has a proper pub atmosphere. Welcoming. Good drinks selection. They need to up their game with the hidden crisps mind. Great beer garden, dart board, pool table. Great place.
After 4 weeks out on the boat I can safely say the meal tonight was the best we have had.
Well worth the walk from the canal.
And the Village ain’t bad either.
Absoutly amazing food. Huge portions. Lovely outdoor play area for the children. Manager and staff are amazing.
Late booking on a Sunday but they accommodated a party of four and a dog with no hesitation.
Very good service and excellent home cooked food at a very good price.
Two courses for £16 and dessert at £5.95 can highly recommend the lemon cheesecake.
If you have not visited then put it on the list to do so soon.
Visited last Saturday with family, 10 adults and 11 children. We did pre book tables and our meal choices which I am sure will have helped the large order. Food was served in batches per family so no table was waiting ages for their close guests to be served. Food arrived hot and to a good standard. The servers were very polite and efficient. We ate the stirrups chicken/beef burger, chicken and leek pie, lasagne and 2 chicken nuggets for the little ones. Chicken pie was the pick of the bunch and the home cooked chips are really good. Overall nice pub, nice food, nice staff, good garden. Would just love to see a smooth bitter on the draught, something like a Hobgoblin
