Nice quiet site with most pitches on grass around the edge of a nice big field. Toilet block was clean but basic and depending where on the field you were it could be a decent walk. There’s a good pub next to the site and a nice 30 minute walk along the canal to the centre of Leighton Buzzard

We visited this campsite for the first time to test out our new tent box roof tent. The campsite is very nice and has everything you need: toilets, water, electricity hook-ups, a dishwashing station, and a small shop. However, do not book a campsite on the grass. We were placed on the grass, right at the back of the field, next to a busy road and a loud train (Pitch 11). All night, cars kept coming and the train came by every hour. It was very annoying and hard to sleep. If we were to return, we would definitely need to book a campsite with gravel because they are at the front and out of earshot of the busy road. Unfortunately, because of the road noise, we had very poor sleep and have to give this place only 3 stars. On the positive side, the owner or person who works there is very nice and friendly. It is also a dog-friendly campsite.

Caravan site attached to the Marina.

Good access from the B488. As soon as turning off the B488, the drive way and gates to the caravan site is straight ahead of you. Don’t go left to the pub!

You’ll need the security code to open the gates. (It’s in the welcome email).

Once through the gates turn right.

Some of the pitches are gravelled, most are grass. Pitches are mostly level. Though we needed a couple of boards to level up. Some of the pitches back onto the road, which is quite busy for a B road. The mainline railway is busy but it didn’t disturb us.

The facility block is on the canal side of the caravan area. It has half a dozen individual rooms with a shower, toilet and basin in each. Nice and private but not sound proof! The floor has riven tiles, not easy to keep clean, so flip-flops are a good idea.

The site is spacious, with generous pitches and plenty of room to play games with some picnic tables. The grass was quite long when we were there and as there are no paths, the grass can be very wet, so waterproof shoes or boots would be useful.

Overall the site was OK, it seemed secondary to the main business in the marina. Shame as it could be a really good site with a bit more care.

Good campsite with lots of space between pitches, BBQ area and good facilities. Pub next door serves good food and beer. Road a bit noisy but you get used to it. Lovely area.
