Had a nice stopover at the Waterside, had a Sunday carvery which was excellent, very nice staff, just a shame we could not get moored outside because of the wrecker boats permanently moored outside the pub moorings

Absolutely superb. I moored my boat about 1/2 a mile away. I was first in with my dog. The food was exceptional and keenly priced. The doggy bar is something else. Well worth a visit. Lovely to eat your dinner out on the canal side with minimum flies and wasps. Very very good. I will be back. (Tomorrow probably!)

Caught some lovely sunshine at The Waterside and grabbed a table outside by the canal — perfect spot for a summer evening with the lads. No booking needed, and we settled in straight away with some cold beers and a big plate of chicken wings.
The wings were spot on — crispy, tasty, and just the right kick. The beers were well kept and ice cold, exactly what you want when you’re sitting outside soaking up the sun.
The atmosphere was proper chilled — a great mix of people enjoying the weather, and the staff were friendly without being pushy.
Perfect for a relaxed catch-up with mates.
If you’re after a cracking pub with great food and drinks, and lovely outdoor seating, The Waterside ticks all the boxes.
Already looking forward to our next visit!

Carvery of decent quality and choice situated canal side.
A nice stop while boating although you will likely need to moor a bit away and walk the path and over the bridge.
VERY family friendly (lots of kids) an outside terrace as well as an outside kids area give them room to run around.
Carvery offered 3 plate sizes and 3 meat choices along with many vegetables. Pictures attached are of medium size option
