The inn offers a Mediterranean-inspired dining experience where skilled pizzaiolos create authentic Neapolitan pizzas in a traditional wood-fired oven, complemented by dishes cooked on their charcoal-fueled Josper grill. Guests can enjoy their meals in the elegant 80-seat restaurant or, weather permitting, in the spacious gardens that overlook the tranquil canal, where narrowboats glide by.
Adjacent to the family-run Thrupp Wharf Marina, which boasts 60 secure moorings, this destination venue provides a perfect retreat for canal enthusiasts, locals, and travellers alike in the picturesque South Northamptonshire setting near the village of Cosgrove.

Good food, nice beer and a gorgeous setting, well worth a stop. Great staff, plenty of parking and a great location. Well worth having a break here.
Lovely restaurant in a beautiful wood, brick, and glass building located by the carnal. Love the ambiance. Good menu with loads of options and huge portions. Exeptional service. I’m certainly looking forward to dining there again.
Went for a team dinner. Food was enjoyed by everyone. The price wasn’t enjoyable :D. Food took a little while to arrive, and some items weren’t available due to. It’s a great location to sit in the sun on the balcony.
Visited on a Monday night but there were people dining. It’s beautifully decorated, the garden is lovely & setting, scenic. Not available off the menu were chorizo scotch egg, gammon & panchetta. Had buttermilk calamari to start which were bland. Also had olives, some of which were shrivelled with puccia bread to dip in balsamic vinegar & olive oil.
Asked if i could not have chillis in with prawn & arrabbiata spaghetti or no rosemary with the pollo e panna which could not be accommodated in this freshly prepared menu, I went with the old sausage & mash, a disappointing choice really with a Mediterranean inspired menu, me being from the Med. the portion was big though & it tasted nice.
The online menu is different to what was presented in restaurant. Husband had a blue steak which he enjoyed. Including drinks we spent £111 not worth it for what we got, i feel. It was just ok. You can get these mains in regular pubs at probably half the price. I wasn’t impressed with the pizza selection either. Things like rocket & fennel ruin a fantastic traditional dish for me but matter of personal taste.
Having just flown in from Wisconsin for the F1 race at Silverstone, we were hungry and half asleep and in need of a good meal. The Navigation Inn was perfect. We were given a nice quiet table with a nice view of the water. I ordered the regular fish and chips. The fish was perfect. Everything was clean and the service was excellent. I happily give all 5 stars and my recommendation to anyone looking for a good sit down dinner.
