A lovely marina with a real community feel to the place. Clean and tidy. Facilities’s include electric, water, sewage outlet, ample parking, security gates, CCTV and lighting over the marina. Beautiful wild life.

Excellent range of properties in tip top condition. I have been with them nearly 15 years and haven’t had any issues at all. I went from a smaller unit to a much bigger unit and was well impressed. The grounds are well looked after and maintained and the landlords are fair and reasonable in all respects. Can’t be faulted.

Moored here for a few months. The site hasn’t been dredged in years, so there’s about a foot of water. No facilities, other than – wow! – a toilet and a sluice, which costs extra, on top of the mooring fees. Bog standard, if you’ll pardon the pun. The upkeep of the site is minimal, so the lights don’t work properly, there are huge amounts of goose excrement (who thought it would be a good idea to have lovely mown grass next to water, I don’t know), and there’s nothing to tie up to. No bollards, no mooring rings, etc. Just some scaffold poles, which you can only use at the stern. Imagine trying to keep your boat in place when you can only tie at one end! Ridiculous. The electricity supply is expensive, especially when you pay VAT on top. The mooring fees are quite expensive, too, considering its location in a backwater loop. There’s a days travel, at least, before you get to either Wolverhampton or Birmingham. The decking breaks when you walk on it to get to the boat. That’s great fun, when the lights are out, or it’s frosty.

I suggest you have a walk along the towpath opposite, late at night, and see for yourself how safe you feel. Don’t forget to take in the lovely smells emanating from the chemical works on the other side of the hedge. God knows what chemicals there are, that you’ll be breathing in. I’ve not had as many headaches since leaving the site.

The management company have no concept of customer service. Several times, I approached them with a problem, only to be rebuffed. They didn’t care about things like druggies hanging about by the gate, or threatening boaters, or having lead thrown at the windows. They’re fast enough to charge you extra if you pay them late, but they don’t pay you extra when they fraudulently hold onto your money when you leave. I had problems getting my fees returned when I left, like other reviewers, and I’ve spoken to other moorers who had the same problem. It’s completely unsurprising to me that they’re not bothering to reply to these reviews or contact moorers to see if they could so anything to improve. They’re friendly enough when they want your money, but when there’s a problem, they don’t want to know.

Convenient location and nice fellow moorers however local chemical factory and landfill site take the shine away. Owners are rude and uncooperative making my 18month stay uncomfortable. There are also no onsite facilities like a shower, gas, diesel or coal.

Moored for 12 years, great community but terrible owner. Was given 4 weeks notice by e-mail, they would not speak to us or give a reason. We then had delays having our deposits and over payments returned. The marina is in the middle of an industrial estate and very basic yet more expensive than others with better facilities. Although it is residential there has never been more than 12 boats, it is as though they do not want customers. Would not recommend, they do not deserve 1 star. Just a note, the 5 star review by RH – happen to be the initials of the owner!!!
